![]() So, back to my perspective on Enchanted Portals, the game looks promising with its characters and bosses like Beethoven, which is pretty badass and sick, but I’d say the creators should delay the game and reuse the extended time to make changes on most of the 90% Cuphead format and reduce it under 50% by adding new elements, new animation motions to the jumps and dash, and more importantly, a lot more features in the gameplay to make the game more inspirational rather than plagiaristic. For example, in PlayStation All-Stars, your only goal is to power up and use your special to kill your opponents in Overwatch, what made this game different from TF2 are more heroes and ultimates in Mortal Kombat’s history, the game was inspired by Street Fighter II and it became successful with different, but best, iconic characters like Scorpion, and applying fatalities from both finishers and stages and the list goes on and on. ![]() Also, when you brought up game clone examples like PlayStation All-stars, Uncharted, Twisted Metal, etc., the one thing I like to point out is that unlike Enchanted Portals, these games at least add more differences to reduce similarities. TBH, the game looks pretty amazing with the inspirational art style, but what’s not inspirational is the developers saying they will make it different and as a result, just only add in 10% of originality and using the 90% straight off from Cuphead’s concept like the Princess boss fight with lily pads stage design, using the same jump and dash animation, and likely making the game just bosses only rather than adding more features into it to reduce the plagiarism level and increase the inspirational level.
